For urgent care, maximum priority is given to medical care for patients with serious conditions that require emergency surgery, hospitalization, etc.

After-hours medical fees

Since November 1, 2006, Iwata City Hospital charges a Specified Initial Visit Fee for patients being examined at Iwata City Hospital for the first time outside of the regular hours and on weekends, public holidays, and during the New Year holiday (the same fee applies to initial visits during the regular weekday hours). Patients who are examined outside of the regular hours for non-urgent reasons must pay at their own expense the amount corresponding to the additional after-hours charge.
