Influenza vaccination

Iwata City Hospital offers influenza vaccinations from October 30 (Monday), 2017.
In principle, if you see a primary care physician outside of Iwata City Hospital, please receive the vaccination from your primary care physician.

Public subsidy for the influenza vaccination for elderly persons

Eligible persons1) Persons age 65 or older
2) Persons age 60 to under 65 with a specific functional disorder
* Specific functional disorder: Person with a disorder (corresponding to a Level 1 Physical Disability) of heart, kidney, or respiratory organ function, or of immune function caused by the human immunodeficiency virus
PeriodOctober 30 (Monday), 2017 – March 30 (Friday), 2018
* Until January 31 (Wednesday), 2018 for residents of Fukuroi City, Kakegawa City, and Mori Town
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:15 – 10:30 a.m.
* Vaccinations are not available on weekends, public holidays, and the New Year holiday (December 29 – January 3).
Please note
  • Please bring a document showing your address and date of birth. (Health insurance card, Medical Care Claimant Certificate, etc.)
  • If you live outside of Iwata City (excluding Fukuroi City, Kakegawa City, and Mori Town), please receive a Medical History Form, Application Form, and Invoice from the city or town where you live before coming to the hospital for your vaccination.
  • You cannot receive the vaccination without these documents.

Pediatrics influenza vaccinations

  1.Appointments are required
 Pediatrics offers outpatient vaccinations every Thursday afternoon by appointment only. The influenza vaccination is given from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vaccinations are available from November 2 (Thursday).
  2.Priority is given to high-risk children, etc.
 Priority is mainly given to high-risk children or children who cannot receive the vaccination from their primary care physicians due to allergies. We recommend promptly visiting your primary care physician to receive the vaccination when you are in good health.
